I consider myself liberal, but I don't agree with that statement at all!! Nor the stuff that followed, about "political correctness":

Bonnie, I think you know I'm pretty far to the right, but I also know many liberals (who are probably further to the left of you) who still believe in personal responsibility and don't view it as a "radical concept".

Many people hold political views that don't align with the way they conduct their lives on a daily basis and what they expect out of themselves and others.

For that matter, I don't think Americans are really as religious as they claim - if people really took Chrismas seriously, they'd be crying "weep and repent" instead of spending a boatload of money on Christmas presents. :)
