I do believe in personal responsibility. One area in which I am very grateful to have the help of others is in AA. It's no secret that alcohol is my biggest challenge. I do benefit a lot from others in the group, many of whom have been sober for a long time. So I know it's possible. I am still not 100% there (I am fine today) but am a lot better off than I was. And I definitely do not take all the credit myself. If you want to make an alcoholic laugh, just say you think willpower is enough.
