VFP5 Class Browser allows you to redefine the parent class for a class by entering the VCX and class name.
VFP6 Class Browser allows you to select from a class/classlib pick list (easier than VFP5), plus you can redefine the to a different base class for some types, like a textbox to a editbox, etc.
This week Microsoft will be posting on their web site an update to the VFP6 Class Browser, Component Gallery, and a few FFC components. This new Class Browser has an improved Redefine dialog, in which the dropdown shows all the classes in the current view that can be used as a new parentclass for the existing class. A few bug fixes, as well as something new which is to show a tooltip for the selected property default value and the paremeter list for the selected method. There will be a list of all bug fixes and changes with the download, and I will post some related tips on
www.classx.com when the files are available.
