That prosperity continued until Slick willy took the reigns. Nobama is putting more of the failed liberal politics of "take from those who can and give to those who can't" into place and it will take the next Republican administration years to right this mess.
Economically this view is not borne out. Carter was a disaster, we can all agree on that. But the Clinton years were prosperous. And the deficit and debt did skyrocket during the Reagan and Dubya administrations, as I stated.
