>My guess is that this Service Pack was not planned. Why do I say this? Because we are only 1 month out since the product released. Typically, the first SP wont shipuntil 6 months or so after a product ships. I have never seen a SP this quick. I bet the beta was no more than a day or two - assuming there was one. So, while you and a few folks may think VFP is getting snubbed, I don't think that is the case. The VFP team is still committed to getting issues with MTS fixed. If I had to guess, and that is all I am doing by the way, I would say it is possible we may see something late winter or early spring. Mind you, this is just conjecture on my part.

This service pack doesn't effect VFP, it's many a few Jet components, etc. This is really a product service pack, as in the case was VS97 SP1 where bugs in VFP, VB, etc. where addressed. The VFP team is busy, and in fact this week Microsoft will be posting new components for the VFP 6.0 Component Gallery, Class Browser, a few FFC libraries, and the Setup Wizard, and includes over 60 bug fixes and a few enhancements. I'll have a link from my
www.classx.com site and some tips when the download is available.
