I just want to add a couple of omissions to your facts below. First, Y2K and the .com explosion was just coming to an end when Clinton left office. Both Y2K and the .com pumped a log of money into the economy which Clinton had nothing to do with. Second, the congress controls the money not the president and if my memory is correct, the last six years of Clinton's term was a Republican controlled congress. Third, the economy was starting into a recession when Bush took office and then 9-11 just made that worse. Then the republicans, for some reason which totally escapes me, started trying to out democrat the democrats and now you see what mess we are in.
