You know, I am already headed in that direction, Tim. As I work through C#, things are getting easier. I am hoping to more fully understand how to manipulate data with arrays and listboxes in C#. That's my challenge this week.

When I had work (real work) and was a full-time employee at a manufacturing company, I had little motivation to depart Visual FoxPro, as it was the language everything (almost everything) was coded in. Although a Corporate level MIS Director said he didn't mind our using Visual Studio, he wouldn't put up any money for it. Yep, he was all talk. In fact, he felt threatened by the power of PC's and their programs, since he was an old-time RPG II programmer for AS/400s.

If I had wanted to start changing the programs slowly over to C# or VB (between 2004 and 2008), I probably could have done it, but I'd have had to pay for the software development tools (Visual Studio 2008 then). I am looking back with a lot of regret for not having moved over to C#, or VB back then when I could have done so at my own speed. At this point, I am now playing catch-up at the grand old age of 56.5 years of age. I have to say though, that it is fun for me to learn C#. It is like a toy for me.

>And someday, you will say, "Wow, I am so glad I switched to C# when I did because I can do things I never thought of being able to do in VFP. I am at that point a few years ago and not looking back. Multi-threaded apps for one.
