Thanks, Dmitry. For this machine I don't want to pay the premium for a laptop. It will be used here at home. I have two laptops already -- well, one of them is basically Allie's -- so am not looking for portability.

I have also been a loyal Dell user for many years. Not quite so locked into them any more. It seems like there have been more problems and their support isn't what it used to be. Maybe that's across the board with PCs having become a commodity.

What I am hoping for here is for to someone to say I recommend this machine, here are the specs, this is how much it costs.
