Thanks. It was vacation related (sort of)..
The T-Sql in your last post worked fine - thanks for that too. I packaged it up in a SP but I'm using EF and since the structure of the results cannot be known in advance there's no way of providing a mapping. I think I'm going to have to go with Linq to Entities to do the work in .NET.....
