>I'm not sure if sequence is important or not, since I haven't started reading the Reacher series yet (but I will soon) ... but when an author has written a series, I always like to start at the beginning. In this case, the first novel in the Jack Reacher series is called "Killing Floor". This site (http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/lee-child/) is great for finding an author's repetoire ... I'm always checking there to see which book is next in a series or what's new from a particular author.

The sequence is not important. They are of a piece. I do think they get stronger as the series goes along.
