The best part of Dell: the customer support. If you have to provide a pc or laptop to a family member and don't want them calling you everytime they do something that creates a problem or something goes wrong with an update of any type or even software or hardware malfunctions (or questions like Naomi's webcam questions) - you cannot beat a Dell (or buy a different brand laptop at Best Buy and fork up the money for the Geek Squad support so your family member can call them!) :o)
