OK this is what I created and tested (part of Northwind.dbc):

SELECT * FROM OPENQUERY(VFP_LINK,
'select * from 
(''C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT VISUAL FOXPRO 9\SAMPLES\NORTHWIND\TESTSUB\TESTSUB2\MYTABLE.DBF'')')

It still works. Are you sure your problem is not security.
