Could it be problems with memory configuration? I vaguely recall something about MEMLIMIT settings you needed to have to make sure FPW didn't have problems with "too much memory". I also recall situations where incompatibility with a print driver sometimes occured with the DOS extender that FPW used (usually "fixed" the problem by selecting a print driver for an older model printer -- e.g. problems often occurred with the HP Laserjet 4 series print driver, but selecting the HP Laserjet III or II or I would "solve" the problem).
