-I did not say SQL "required" aliases.
-I did not mention a concern about uniqueness.
-I clearly stated that I had been taught to always prefix table alias when accessing more than one table in a SQL-SELECT statement.
-I asked _Marc_ if it "helped."

>What do you mean about 'no assurance' as to which table is open? If the tables are opened prior to the SQL, then Fox utilizes those; otherwise, it would search along your path settings to open the tables specified in the FROM clause.
