>>Speaking of computer cases... Many, many, years ago -- I remember reading an article in a magazine where someone used an actual pizza box (unused of course) for a "pizza box" form-factor case. The person added some extra hardware using sheet metal to provide mouting points for the motherboard, drives etc. And nowadays with LCD monitors replacing the old CRT, we now have the possiblity that one could even have a pizza box display...

Here's a weird thought... build a PC into a cereal box (and go with external "brick" power supply). Obiously you'd have USB ports for interfacing (which would be in keeping with "serial/cereal" theme).

Of course, if you prefer mini-tower form-factor, there is this:

come to think of it... It might be amusing to find where you can get some of those prop computers, VCR and various other home electronic items that you sometimes see at furniture stores. We could build the actual PC into one of those fake-looking props, then keep around a few old (but non-functional) PCs to further confuse would-be theives.

How about LEGO? Flexibility in design, construction should be a "snap", and your computer can truly be "plug-and-play" (i.e. build everything in a way so that they become "bricks" that can plug together)

Other "disguises" for PC?

(look under "PC Case-DIY")

How about this for unusual PC case?

And of course, with flexible OLED displays... Maybe an iScroll from Apple isn't far away?
