Do you know why would I get the error 'Not a character expression' on this line of code

erase file (addbs(oAppObj.cProgDataDir) + 'batchprt.dbf')

the oAppObj.cProgDataDir contains a valid path.

UPDATE. Figured this out. It was the incorrect syntax (should be ERASE (fileName)). The error message was not helpful.
