Baseball was a distant second as a sport to me, but my uncle was the commissioner at the time and I wound up going to (not willingly sometimes) an awful lot of games including most world series in the 70s. Best thing for me was meeting a lot of interesting people. I met lots of past and then current players, owners, sportscasters, each of the living presidents of the time (I sat with Nixon through a game - he made sure the secret service got my hot dogs right), football players(?), you name it.
