I'm here. I was in an exceptionally cranky mood and arguing with everyone so decided yesterday a hiatus was in order. Now that my good spirits have returned I don't know that it is necessary. I can avoid getting into constant arguments without leaving the UT. There are a couple of combative people who I intend to give a wide berth.
How about that Roy Halladay?! I had a private conversation with Tamar about it. Of course she was delighted. We agreed that a perfect game is so rare it is a statistical outlier, not necessarily proving anything. (Any more than Halladay getting shelled in his previous start proved anything). The pitchers who have done it have tended to be pretty good, obviously including Halladay. But look at that Braden kid who pitched a perfecto for the A's just weeks earlier. Until then he was known, if at all, for getting in a war of words with A-Rod for running across the mound on his way to the dugout.
>I though aboiut replying to you, but you're not here to read it, so I guess there'd be no point.

>>I have been spending way too much time here in unpleasant conversations. It's not healthy. I have let a couple of nasty people in particular get under my skin. That's on me. It doesn't mean I have to keep doing it. It's not just unpleasant, it's dangerous to me.

>>I wish you all well and maybe we'll catch up again down the road. Or not.
