I have a table that appears to be corrupted - when try to open it the error "File is not open" is returned. This is a VFP6 table in a DBC, other tables open fine.

I've tried a couple of repair tools on the table (cmrepair finds no problem with the table) so I'm not sure where to turn. The backup of the table gives the same error. I can go back to a previous backup that is a little dated, but intact. I would like to know what is causing this error though. Any clues?
