Hi,

Using Excel 2007 Automation from VFP I have connected a SQL database and created a Pivot Table from a huge dataset. The connection string is supplied in the automation program. Using SQL authentication, the connection string must contain user and password. It is quite important to hide these credentials from the users that will use the program for reporting. But in the Data-tab in Excel 2007 there is Connections->Properties->Definition->ConnectionString displaying the connection in clear text. I know I can add a password to the worksheet using .ActiveWorkbook.Protect(.T.,.T.), but the connectionstring will only be disabled. Is there a way to disable the menuitem?
