First of all, how the ump missed the call is beyond me. What was he looking at?

I think modern technology can help keep a game fair if it is used reasonably unobtrusively.

To keep it from being a circus I think each team should be given a (small) number of 'challenges' they can use in a game. If the coach/manager/etc is absolutely sure a call was wrong AND it makes a difference in the game, then they can and should use a challenge to use the best evidence available to call the play.

This would keep managers from asking for multiple replays for each pitch for the entire game.
