>How exactly did the Flyers outplay them in game 2, when they scored one goal? What is your definition of outplaying? Skating faster? ;-)

Sometimes shot totals are deceiving, but the Flyers often broke through Chicago's defense and fired quality shots on Niemei. I watch Philly enough times that I can sometimes sense when their flow of cycling deep in the zone is about to produce a goal - and there must have been a half-dozen times when Niemi stoned different Flyers...and each time, I yelled out..."SCO....oh, F____!"

>Yes, Chicago won the game (2-1), thanks in part to a very soft goal that Michael Leighton surrendered. Most of the analysts agreed that Philly was the dominant team overall in game 2, but Niemi had the proverbial "played out of his skull" game to win it.

OK, fair enough. I missed the game but have seen similar games in soccer and football. Sometimes one soccer team is on the attack most of the time, or one football team gains way more yards than the other, but they just can't punch it in enough to win.

Oh, just a reminder to you and Charles -- only another week until the start of the World Cup <g>.
