>And to admit when I'm wrong....we debated Sherron Collins versus John Wall. I was very disappointed with Collins' play during pressure moments late in the season and in the tourney. I won't say he choked, but his emotions were too much for him and adversely affected his play and his shooting. He was better as a supporting cast member on the 2008 championship team.

It would take a Mensa group a month to figure out why you reply to some of my messages and not others, and why which are which ;-)

IMO you never really know how young players are going to do in the pros. For every Lebron James who plays as touted, and more, there are about 10 can't-missers who miss. I think Collins will be a reasonably solid pro. John Wall, who knows? His upside is huge and the Nets would be idiots not to take him #1. Then again, the Nets are idiots, as they have proven many times.

Here in the Most Overly Optimistic Sports City in the World, interest in the Lebron-to-the-Bulls theory has ebbed. For a while it wsa even supposed to be a package deal with Phil Jackson. Jackson was practically run out of town by management after winning six championships so there is zero chance he will return. He put the rumors to rest officially this week. It won't shock me if he goes somewhere, with the Lakers reportedly prepared to cut his salary by over 50%, but it's not going to be Chicago.

Some said that with guys like Jordan and Pippen on the team all he had to do was roll the ball out there. I disagree, while not taking anything away from their talent. That was not an easy team to coach. Michael was and is headstrong to the max, Scottie was an immature young guy from West B-----k, Arkansas, Horace Grant went in and out of pouts. And oh, that other guy, Dennis Rodman. Phil somehow managed to keep them on the same page and play as a coherent team.
