>>I'll get off the Bobby Orr kick after one more good one, a moment from a Sports Illustrated article a couple of years ago about his current life as an agent. He called up a hockey guy about a prospect he had and the guy's wife answered the phone. Orr asked if (whoever) was home. Who can I tell him is calling? she asked. Bobby Orr, he said. She said she just about fainted.

>Excuse me for interupting, being from Edmonton I must ask . . . . Who is this Bobby Orr fellow?

I know who you mean. In fact I had a client in Edmonton, the Alberta Liquor Control Board, and the receptionist had a picture of Wayne on her desk, standing with her in that very lobby. She was his aunt. As I keep trying to convince Kevin, it's pointless to compare them. They were both sensational. Gretzky was less physical than Orr but they both had the same gift of knowing what was going on everywhere on the ice. He would find a momentary quiet spot and wreak havoc from there. His scoring records, the 92 goals in a season, they speak for themselves. 92! I think that one is safely enough out there that it will not be broken. And he was unparalleled as a stickhandler. The stick and the puck were like parts of his body.

I don't know where that soundtrack came from but it sounds exactly like Nirvana.
