I got a free download, a DLL (diskserial.dll), that provides me with the serial number of the local hard disk. I created a software activation scheme based on that.
Now, to simplify software registration, my client (that is, the person who wants to distribute a certain software) wants to have several machines registered for the same code. I figured this would be possible if I manage to get the serial number of the hard disk on the
server where the application is installed. Any idea how this can be done?
