I have seen Erik's name mentioned as a possible Microsoft CEO some day. That would be cool. But I agree with you it wouldn't matter for VFP. It was a long time ago that he managed the VFP 3 development team.

Re Salt Lake City, BTW, the New York Times has a weekly feature called "36 Hours in (some city)." This week it was SLC. One thing that caught my eye was that whites now comprise about 75% of the population. Still high for a major city, of course, but not as high as it used to be.

>The ONLY person that could replace Balmer and reinstate VFP is Eric Rudder. But even if he were to replace Balmner, VFP is COM-based. It's old technology and being replaced. No way a change at the top will make a difference.

>>Rarely do I meet an engineer who speaks in such self assured absolutes! I tip my hat sir!

>>My old HQ was in Park City Utah - speaking of absolutes. A women was walking a trail using her "Palm" (3G) and Google maps to navigate her nightly "regularity" stroll, and was struck (or almost struck) by a car because the map was out of date. She's now suing Google for her misdirection. On a side note - the shock of seeing the car careening towards her went a long way in relieving her "regularity" issues. :)

>>Love your tie - have you noticed all the TV MC's are wearing some kind of off-lime-green ties with eggshell lavender tent shirts

>>>>When Steve Linux=AL KADA" Balmer gets the boot - understanding that everything MSFT has marketed since he took the helm makes the Titanic look like a successful crossing, what are the odds that MS will go back to it's roots and hopeful return to manufacturing Fox Pro.
