we have been synchonizing 12 different databases (VFP) over 35+ locations 24-7 for 3 years by means of an audit table that just records the field changes in each database. Required a unique pk field in every table and using triggers (Insert, Update, and Delete) that call a function with the original table record and the each fields orginal values and new values are stored. The logging table as we call it can get very large very fast so needs to be managed.

Each remote site sends xml files with all logging records and retrieves the same from a central location.
