This appears to be a fixed restriction, I haven't seen a workaround as yet.

It appears that any shortcut/batch file/cmd files that has a mapping to a network is excluded.

What a great enhancement, someone must have got a big bonus for that one.

I have had a whinge to MS previously about this, asked them to sack the idoit that came up with the idea.
