Hi John,

Currently, pyQT requires a $ license. However, pySide is just coming out (should be available in the next month - with full Nokia support and it's GPL). As far as support I see Nokia (in the future) doing a very good job. C++ QT has lot's of support and pyQT appears to have lot's of postings on the mailing list. I'd say support is not an issue.

wxPython does have a good following. In fact I use it daily (Dabo is based on wxPython) and I can say it is stable. The big issue with wxPython is the controls are based on the platform and it lacks web and mobile. Where as QT has web, mobile, and desktop along with styles (sort like CSS) Because I use Dabo I have been moving my VFP apps over with some ease. However, many of today's apps look very slick with special backgrounds and fancy looking controls and my Dabo apps look old (they look like VFP). I'd like to have a much more modern look so I have been following the pySide and pyQT groups for a while. I like QT not only for the look but the IDE (the environment) surrounding the QT world. What they lack for me is a simple framework to work with databases like VFP does. I hope Dabo will support QT but I'm not holding my breath.

If I were to start over I'd like to think I would use QT along with something I created to better handle the data. But I have to say I'm doing just fine with Dabo at the moment too.
