Hi John,

Nope! Good guess though. Checking the watch window, the parent is the page it is supposed to be on. There is no indication that there is any other object on top of the grid.

More info: The methods affecting the grid -- so far as they can be invoked from outside of the grid appear to work properly: That is, I can add a record the the alias record source and the record source updates properly to display the recrod. Ditto with deleting a record -- both invokes by command buttons outside of the grid. I just cannot make any control in the grid gain focus.

All of the controls in the grid that should be enabled/!readonly are enabled/!readonly. All of the columns are enabled/!readonly.
