Ok, you have a point. But man! You gotta see this guy throw. His stuff is evil. His fastball sets up everything else, and everything else sets up his fastball. His inhuman curve is about as unhittable as anything I've ever seen. And he has the air of an assassin. You could see in the last two innings he pitched that he wanted it real bad. He struck out the last 6 he faced. They guy is just flat out mean.

I saw some of the highlights, and have been watching him all spring. Yes, his stuff is filthy. What blows me away isn't the 14Ks, it's the incredibly low pitch count.

I'll be curious to see what he does against teams like Atlanta and Philly, NL East foes. We'll find out soon enough.

Up until now, the best curveball I can recall seeing came from Neil Allen - this guy makes Allen's look like a slow hook.
