Hey Hank. The pricing you mention here is for hosting your own application server with 'unlimited' runtime licenses. This would only be used for large application deployment (hundreds of users or more). Servoy is an application server with a develepor product for building solutions. The standard licensing model used is the per 'concurrent' user runtime license, which starts at $349/user but is less when more than a few user licenses is purchased. I don't know what the pricing breakdown is for various runtime licenses, as I'm not involved in the sales and marketing of their licensing.

Servoy very recently announced a subscription based model as well. Runtime licenses are free, and you charge your own subscription based model for users of an app, then do profit sharing with Servoy on that user based service. I thin the goal with that offering is to allow a company to build a subscription based application (like per user cost) using Servoy without having to purchase any runtime licensing.

I don't know much about the sales and licensing of Servoy beyond this, and a good source of additional for sales/licensing related questions would be to contact sales@servoy.com. They have offices in the U.S. and in Europe.

>I haven't watched the webinar yet, but have a question regarding scalability. They charge $27,000 for a 2-core server license. How many clients on a complex business app can that (little) serve? We have a 500+ table app. Of course the unlimited is only <s> something like $77,000, and there are always the Quad Xeon 6-core servers coming out, but the question still applies.
