Hi,

I want to test connecting my VFP app to SQL 2008 and for that I decided to convert a SQL Server 2005 database to SQL 2008. So my plan is:
1. Make a backup of the database in SQL Server 2005.
2. Copy the backup files to a different folder
3. Restore the backup files into the SQL Server 2008.

Is the above correct approach? And on step 3, do I need to create a database in SQL Server 2008 of the same name first, or can I restore the backup in another way?

TIA.
