I'm sorry for not being clear.

I was trying to confirm that it might be a permission problem. In Windows, I opened up the folder that the VFP stuff is in. I then right clicked on the folder and selected 'new'. Usually, I'm used to getting another menu with items like 'folder', 'shortcut', 'text document' etc etc. However, in this case, the only menu item that appears is 'folder'. This seems to indicate that Windows does not want you create a file.
