I hope I'm not butting in on a private conversation.
I've ben using VFP6 since the pre-release at DevCon. I have yet to find an example where VFP6 was slower than VFP5, and often find it faster. As far as stability, it's about the same: most of the stuff that brought down my VFP5 applications will also bring down my VFP6 applications (like misnaming a field in a grid !!!). I haven't yet found an example of something from VFP5 that got broken - only new stuff seems to crash occasionally.
But I personally wouldn't see the advantage in starting to write or migrate an app ina prior version of a piece of development software unless it was an awful release - which VFP6 isn't.
Just my 2 cents - take it for what it is worth...
