If you support the missions of those charities, how much you're paying in taxes is irrelevant unless and until you don't have the funds to give, and that doesn't seem to be what you're saying.

Actually, that is what I am saying. When the government increases my tax burden because they think they know better than I do where my charity dollars should go, I no longer have those dollars to contribute to the organizations that I think do the most good.
