I too took the App Dev class last spring. Dave Anderson was the instructor. Thought the class was excellent as he took great pains to point out how to get the job done without getting too much involved in strict theory.
I don't know if I'm supposed to say this, but he did mention, oh maybe 1 or 2 spots in the courseware (designed by you) where a better example could have been used. But I did find the courseware very helpful also.
