AFAIK, the width of the scrollbar in a grid is defined by windows via: control panel, display, advanced button, appearance tab, then change the Item to scrollbar and make your settings.. Keep in mind that changing this setting will effect all scrollbars in windows though, not just in VFP.
Another option is to search around for a custom scrollbar class. I've seen them out there.
