I'm getting the kind of bug and VFP crash that gets you into useless tension. Erratic errors. Arising in situations that are difficult to repeat or predict. The application just crashed with limited information.

In the end, it looks like the bug is located somewhere in a class located in the component gallery and called _comdlg. The code seems oldish. Do not catch why it breaks. The bug arises mostly on deployment machines. On on my XP development box. Looks like it is related to the level directory recursion. The getfile box replacement - it calls comdlg32.dll - locks up when the directory level is too deep.

I am lost with no clue. Any help welcome!
