Most of us would do it just so we didn't have to deal with the hassle. Do I really want someone calling me, bugging me, telling all their business friends that I screwed them over, have to deal with any potential legal issues and the cost/time involved with that? Nope, not worth the trouble. I'm pretty sure most of us didn't get into software dev. for the drama ;-)
