Mike,
This is what I want to do in more detail.
I've a weighing scale indicator connected via comm port to a PC. I have a program the reads the weight in intervals of 100 milliseconds and stores the weight into a sql table.
My client has a web based program that wants to read this weight information.
I've used VFP 9 to create a web service that outputs the weight information to a XML file when the web service is called.
My problem is that my client's program is using PHP and Ajax and I'm not familiar with both as to how he can write a script into a button on his web form where by it can call the URL to my web service to retrieve the weight information.
In short, from my client's web page, he wants to put in a button that calls my web service to retrieve the weight information using PHP and Ajax.
Hope my question is clear.
Thanks
Yau
