We could have a perfect game played by robots on an artificial surface (no nasty imperfections to ruin the game) and judged by computers.
Maybe we could have computers watch it for us as well. It's funny you mention "judged by computers"....look at how they judge "in/out" calls at the U.S. Open Tennis Tournament.
Also, look at the National Hockey League. When they implemented replay years ago, MANY people made similar arguments against it. Now, it is generally viewed as the model format.
Bottom line - there ARE ways to greatly improve officiating through technology, without detracting from the game.
