have a textbox in a grid. the controlsource is defined in the table as width 6, decimal 2. i build the input mask according to client set variable (some clients do not like to see deciimals). the inputmask variable may look like "999.99" or "999". the input mask works correctly. when i tab to the field it shows the correct number of decimals.

guess i do not understand format. tried setting the format to a "R" and to the same as the input mask. but the textbox always displays the last two decimal positions, although it does not show leading zeros. really want to control the look (format) of the field and the input (which is working). how to do?
