The amazon link ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B8EZR4/sr=1-1/qid=1277922122/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&qid=1277922122&sr=1-1&seller= ) indicates 'newest version'. I think I'd hold them to that.

Being that 2008 R2 just RTMd a month ago, it wouldn't shock me if Amazon's printed "newest version" is still 2008.

(But I actually don't know if it is or not)
