Hi John ---

Quite honestly, I think the majority of people have played with it but not too many have actually done n-tier (and I mean 3+ tier) in a production environment. Also, there are not too many resources to turn to as you have found out.

>True. The syntex is of course different but yes, the fundamental concept is the same I agree. One thing that kind of puzzle me.

>Since n-tier concept is not new (although this is my first real app trying to use this) and definitely a better way to write apps IMHO, why aren't there more threads about topics related to specifics of how-to's and best techniques about doing n-tier with VFP? It seems most of the threads are geared toward UI issues.

>I would really like to know how many people are using/have used this design concept and share pros, cons, and other specific issues related to doing this properly in VFP. Is n-tier development so trivial that everyone knows how to do this already and I'm late to the game or what???
>
>>Virtually any of the VB books on n-tier or business objects will apply to VFP and the *neat* thing is that they work even better for the most part in VFP becuase of full inheritance and other VFP advantages in OOAD and OOP.
