That returns the Windows Temp folder, in fact i am using SYS(2023) with SYS(2015) for generating temp files
it creates temp file in the window temp folder no issue

In my observation the issue is only when VFP creates a BAK file of the original on Novell Netware then this error FPD26 works fine

BAK file is created in same folder /location as original

Another observation
after ALTER TABLE fails with "Unable to create temporary work files"
SELECT 1 is the Original table ( F:\MyApp\Test.dbf) unchanged

when i do SELECT 2 in Status Bar it shows Alias Name as B and number of records match
but if i say BROWSE it gives me error "invalid file descriptor"

Same is the case if i do DISPLAY STATUS
