I've been using PKZip version 2.04g in my Foxpro/VFP backup apps for several years. I finally got nailed by its inability to work with long filenames under Win9x. Ouch!
I've been trying to locate a cost-effective, and easy to use, compression utility I can call from my VFP apps. While I would prefer a DLL/FLL (or - gasp - an OCX), working with a command-line driven app would be okay.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

FWIW: I can use the latest PKWare version of PKZip - version 2.50 released April 98. It's command-line driven and CAN handle long filenames, which version 2.04g cannot. I'm just trying to find an inexpensive (or free) file compression library.
