"Earlier today I read this in yesterday’s Times and was tremendously moved by it. I had been sober but sour for two or three days – what AAs call a “dry drunk” – and it snapped me out of it. (The sober has been longer than three days, more like three weeks). Anyone feeling the pull of self pity is encouraged to read this article. This young guy is fortunate to be alive according to his doctor(s), sustained the most hellish physical injuries imaginable, yet has something in him that keeps a can-do attitude. Downright inspiring."
