Wow! I was in Monterey, CA (DLI) during the Oct 89 quake. I watched the trees sway and the ground actually roll. No power for 3 days and spent those 3 days helping folks get out of destroyed homes, cars, and anyplace else they were when everything came tumbling down. My sister still lives in California but NOT ME. :o) (I was actually in the military dining facility when it struck and it was a modern bldg with all walls of glass - it was C R A Z Y!)

Hurricanes and tornadoes are bad enough...
