I don't use Chrome but I was wondering if there was some sort of "IE compatibility" function, or if your AV could be interfering - while Googling I stumbled on http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/static.py?page=known_issues.cs

FireFox works great with the UT (except for copying message links, which I rarely use). If you're security-conscious, I highly recommend the NoScript add-on for FireFox.
